Roses and Butterflies

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with a new sign.

I used the Delta Sander to sand down a wood sign.

The Pen Sander works great around the edges of the wood sign.

Paint the sign with Martha Stewart Home Décor Paint in Eggshell.

Use a stencil with molding past to create dimension on the sign.  Add color with Folk Art Outdoor Paint in Red Hot, Cabana and Light Pink.

Make the paint fluid by spritzing with water and allowing it to drip.  Rotate the sign to move the paint around the panel.  Dab off the excess paint with a paper towel.

Once dry, adhere paper flowers.  Tuck tiny bunches of flowers around the roses.  Punch butterflies from Rinea Foiled Papers in Blush/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and die cut leaves from Emerald/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper.  Using Sky Blue Brilliance Ink, dab color around the panel.  Use a grid stamp with Memento Luxe Love Letter Ink, stamping it around the flowers.

Create a hole in the top with the Bench Drill Press, and add twine as a hanger.

Thanks for stopping by.

Steph
