Embossed Christmas Tags

Hi everyone.    It's Tuesday and it's my turn on the Topflight Stamp blog.  If you haven't checked out the Topflight store yet, you need to see the variety of stamps in the store.  They have some amazing stamps from all over the world.

The theme this week is Christmas and I'm using Stitched Angel Ornaments Stamp set from Creative Expressions and this set comes from England!  This week I decided to make some Christmas tags.

I stamped the tree, star and angle with embossing ink and heat set with gold embossing powder so they really took center stage.  Next, I fussy cut each.

I used some shipping tags which I covered with pattern paper.  I stamped and embossed the small stars on the first tag then added the large star on top with foam adhesives for dimension.  Then Merry Christmas was added on a slight angle.

I used some fun Christmas paper on my next tag and placed the angel on top with foam adhesives for dimension.

Finally, I placed the tree atop a green Christmas print with foam adhesives.  For a different effect, I stamped Merry Christmas, then cut it apart and added the words in 2 spots on the tag.

3 tags are now waiting to adorn their packages.

Thanks for stopping by.

Altered Anchor

Hi everyone, I'm on the Tiny Tool Time Blog today with an altered anchor inspired by a cruise we just took.

I used the Proxxon Scroll Saw, Jig Saw and Delta Sander to cut, shape and sand the anchor.

Plaid Coastal Paints in Sand Dollar, High Tide and Seal Grey were used to paid the anchor.

I chose a Plaid stencil to add some dimension on the anchor with Sand Dollar Coastal Paint

To finish, I wrapped rope around the anchor.  I then added mesh which I colored with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists.  Finally, I created some fish and shells from Makin's Clay clay and Sea Shells Push Molds.

Please stop by the blog for more projects.

Joy Clair Christmas in July

Image may contain: text

Hi everyone.  We are half way towards Christmas and at Joy Clair stamps we are celebrating Christmas in July!!

I'm using the Rustic Sentiments stamp set.  Consisting of 8 stamps, these stamps can be used to create any number of projects.  It's easy to create a Rustic Christmas card with this stamp set.

Using the Evergreen stamp, I placed it on the Misti, lining it up with a white panel.

Using light green ink, I stamped the image once.

Then I reinked portions of the stamp with dark green ink and closed the Misti to restamp.

Then I added some red ink for the berries and closed the Misti again to restamp.

After inking the edges of the panel with light green ink, I matted it with black cardstock.  I placed this panel atop Ruby/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper which was matted with black cardstock.  The Ruby/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper really helps set the tone for Christmas cards don't you think?

A 1/2" strip of Ruby/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper was placed across the panel.  Merry Christmas was stamped in dark green ink and die cut. It was then placed atop a black die cut label and added to the card over the foil with foam adhesives for dimension.

Rose card with Bowdabra

I'm on the Just For Fun Rubber Stamps blog  with this gorgeous stamp - it's called American Beauties- and it is lovely.  It's large enough to fit the card front.

I created a card from embossed pink cardstock   Then I created a bow with the Bowdabra and wrapped it around the card.  The Bowdabra allows you to make any sized bows you need and I needed a small one for my card which I wrapped around the card.  I placed half a die cut black circle on top which helped to hold the bow in place.

I colored the image with Copic Markers, then fussy cut it, placing it atop my card with foam adhesives for dimension.

Christmas Stars

Hi everyone.    It's Tuesday and it's my turn on the Topflight Stamp blog.  If you haven't checked out the Topflight store yet, you need to see the variety of stamps in the store.  They have some amazing stamps from all over the world.

The theme this week is Christmas and I'm using Stitched Angel Ornaments Stamp set from Creative Expressions and this set comes from England!

I wanted a distressed Christmas card so I stamped the stars randomly with blue ink to coordinate with pattern paper, then inked the panel with brown ink.

I wrapped ribbon around the card then added the distress panel with foam adhesives for dimension.

Pinwheels with Rinea Foiled Papers

Hi everyone, can you believe it's July?  It's the height of the summer and that means all kinds of beach activities, vacations and parties.  Are you creating party décor this year?  Follow along as I show you some fun party decorations created with Rinea Foiled Papers.

This month we are partnering with Floracraft and Petaloo.  I received some fun Styrofoam cubes and beautiful flowers so I decided to make some party decorations.

Pinwheels are one of summer's iconic items so I wanted to create center pieces with pinwheels.   I placed Ruby/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper on an older/less sticky Cricut mat and cut out a pinwheel.  The older/less sticky mat allows the foils to be removed easily from the mat.

I love how easily the pinwheel cut.  All I had to do was form it and add it to a stick.

I made a bunch of pinwheels using  Sapphire/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper, Blush/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper,  Emerald/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and Violet/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper.  Since the foils are double sided you can chose how to assemble each pinwheel.  Using brads, I adhered Petaloo flowers to the centers of the smaller pinwheels.  Check out all these fun pinwheels I created.  The sizes are 4", 6" and 12".  I decided to use the larger pinwheels as votive holders.

The larger pinwheels were die cut from Copper/Copper Glossy Foiled Paper and Emerald/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper using the Crafter's Rolls.  Placing the foil on my Cricut mat, I cut the Foiled Papers to fit, then cut the pinwheels 12".

As you can see, the larger size also die cut easily.

I painted the Floracraft Styrofoam cubes with pink paint and spritzed tjhem with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists.

Next, I wrapped a ribbon around each cube and added a bow to each that I created with the Bowdabra.

I placed the picks in the cubes and added another pinwheel on the cube.

What great centerpieces these make for a summer gathering.

Mickey Key Ring

Hi everyone, I'm on the Clear Scraps blog today with a fun key chain I made with the Clear Scraps July kit.

The key ring came with 5 acrylic pieces plus the ring.

The included paper pack from Echo Park had a sheet of "tags" that fit the acrylic perfectly.  I just cut them apart, inked them and adhered them to the acrylic.

Not only is this a key ring, but the individual pieces could double as luggage or back pack decorations.

Thinking of You

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps.  Check out those juicy colors!

I used some amazing stamps from Joy Clair to create my card - the Springtime Flowers stamp set.

I stamped the flowers in assorted colors of Clearsnap chalk inks using a masking technique.

Once stamped, I colored in the flowers with the same chalk inks using a water brush.  Once completed, I inked the edges of the panel.

Selecting hot pink cardstock, I matted the floral panel, then added it to a navy card.  I love how the colors pop!

A sentiment from the Rustic Christmas Sentiments finished off the card.

Barbecue Time

Hi everyone.    It's my turn on the Top Flight Stamps blog and I've created 2 summer themed cards.  If you haven't checked out the Topflight store yet, you need to see the variety of stamps in the store.  They have some amazing stamps from all over the world and I'm so excited to be designing with them.

I used the Barbecue stamp set from Joy Crafts which comes with a barbecue die cut!  I stamped the elements and fussy cut some to add to the card.

Using the tent stamp from the Barbecue stamp set, I used a masking technique to add 3 different colored tents on my card.   I've also used the Campfire Die from Joy Crafts.  To make it more realistic, I die cut it from 2 pieces of cardstock, cut it apart and reassembled it.
